Compassionate Family Care

Dr. Collette Cook is board-certified in Internal Medicine and cares for patients over 18 years of age. She was raised in Dayton, Ohio. Both of her parents were prior military and transitioned to medicine as second careers. She grew up with the special sense of comfort and security that comes with having a doctor in the family, and she felt called to provide that same feeling to her patients.

She then moved to Florida where she completed her undergraduate education at the University of Florida. Her husband, a Raleigh native, brought them home to attend law school at UNC Chapel Hill while she attended medical school at Campbell University. She completed residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida where she was voted Resident of the Month and awarded the prestigious Timothy Smith Memorial Award for excellence in ambulatory medicine.

Dr. Cook’s special interests are in preventive medicine, as well as menopause and obesity management. She loves reading good books and hiking the North Carolina woods with her husband, daughter, and their dogs.
